Panko Dusted Mushroom Coins

2 starters/sides

Ingredients

170g king oyster mushrooms

150ml cold water

80g panko breadcrumbs

80g plain flour

1 tablespoon black sesame seeds

1 teaspoon garlic granules

1 teaspoon onion granules

Sea salt

Vegetable oil to fry

Method

1] Wash & dry mushrooms

2] Cut into coin shapes

3] Whisk together flour & water to create a thick batter, season with salt, garlic & onion, whisk again

4] Pour breadcrumbs & sesame onto a plate

5] Coat each mushroom in batter before placing into breadcrumbs and using a dry spoon to coat evenly

6] Place breaded mushroom into hot oil & fry on each side for 4-5 minutes on medium heat until golden & crispy

7] Plate up & enjoy with your favourite dip!
